Multi-Unit Abutments
Delivering a versatile restorative platform for full-arch and multi-implant rehabilitations, IPD Multi-Unit Abutments seamlessly support screw-retained prosthetics and complex angulation needs. Crafted with high precision in straight and angled configurations across multiple gingival heights, they allow clinicians to correct implant divergence for optimal alignment. An advanced TiN coating boosts biocompatibility and minimizes interface wear, while their robust design guarantees predictable results in demanding full-arch workflows.
What Are Multi-Unit Abutments Used For?
Multi-unit abutments are indispensable for complex implant restorations, specifically in full-arch rehabilitations that rely on multiple implants to support a screw-retained prosthesis. By effectively correcting challenging implant angulations, these abutments establish a level, parallel prosthetic platform that guarantees a highly predictable delivery of the final prosthesis.
Thanks to their versatile modular design, clinicians can consistently achieve a precise passive fit, ideal emergence profiles, and optimally positioned screw access. These features are absolutely critical when executing All-on-4 / All-on-X protocols, hybrid bridges, or full-arch overdentures. At IPD, we precision-engineer our multi-unit abutments to deliver superior mechanical strength and outstanding rotational stability, ensuring flawless integration with all your prosthetic components.
Types of Multi-Unit Abutments Available
- Implant Multi-Unit Abutments: Platform-specific abutments compatible with multiple implant systems, ensuring precision fit and prosthetic stability.
- Straight Multi-Unit Abutments: Designed for implants placed in ideal angulation, providing direct connection for bridge or full-arch prostheses.
- Angled Multi-Unit Abutments (17°, 30°): Used to correct implant divergence, especially in the posterior zone or tilted implants.
- Multi-Unit Components and Accessories: Includes prosthetic screws, copings, scan abutments, and analogs tailored for digital and conventional workflows.
- Multi-Unit Temporary Abutments: Ideal for immediate loading and provisional restorations during the healing phase.
- Multi-Unit Healing Abutments: Used to condition soft tissue prior to final prosthesis placement in multi-implant cases.
All options are available in different collar heights and diameters to adapt to clinical anatomy and prosthetic requirements.
Materials and Technical Specifications of Our Multi-unit Abutments
IPD’s multi-unit abutments are manufactured from titanium Grade V (Ti-6Al-4V), offering superior mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term biocompatibility. Each abutment undergoes high-precision CNC machining, ensuring a passive fit and torque reliability in demanding full-arch restorations.
All IPD´s Multi-Unit abutments are TiN coating for improved tissue biometry and enhanced mechanical strength of the abutment. This coating enhances the aesthetics of the abutment with a gold colour. It also provides antibacterial properties that prevent the adhesion of micro-particles that could result in soft tissue inflammation.
Our angulated abutments are indexed and anti-rotational, with laser markings for clear identification. They are available in multiple angulations (0°, 17°, 30°), collar heights, and platform connections to match leading implant systems. Compatible with digital and conventional prosthetic workflows, all components meet ISO 13485, CE, offering both safety and clinical flexibility.
